The 2014 International Home + Housewares Show has sold out exhibit space less than 10 weeks before opening day, according to the International Housewares Association, the Show’s owner and operator. The Housewares Show runs from 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 15 through 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at McCormick Place, in Chicago.
“This is the earliest the Show has been sold out on exhibit space and is a sign of how important this world-class marketplace is to IHA member suppliers,” said Phil Brandl, IHA president and CEO. “We look forward to bringing the industry together at the premier housewares trade event.”
The Housewares Show will host more than 2,100 exhibitors from around the world, including 400 new companies exhibiting for the first time.
This year’s Housewares Show will showcase Savor Home, a revitalized gourmet food and specialty products category. Nestled between Discover Design and Tabletop in the Dine + Design Expos in the South Building, adjacent to the Cooking Theater, Savor Home will provide a destination for entertaining-themed housewares products such as design-inspired wine accessories, gourmet food products and other home entertaining wares.
Other Show highlights include Discover Design, where products from design-focused companies will be on display; the Hall of Global Innovation, which features the Show’s special exhibits, including Pantone ColorWatch, Going Green, the 3rd annual IHA Innovation Awards, Global Innovation Awards (gia) and the IHA Student Design Competition; Innovation Theater with 20 presentations exploring the crucial role of design, social media, consumer lifestyle trends and new platforms for product launches; and educational seminars led by IHA’s color expert Leatrice Eiseman, and lifestyle guru Tom Mirabile from Lifetime Brands.
