In recognition of National Knife Day on Sunday, August 24, KitchenIQ is celebrating with a “Tomato Drop” video contest.
To enter the contest, consumers will be asked to film themselves dropping a tomato from above directly onto the blade of a knife. Ideally, the company noted, if the knife is sharp, the tomato will slice in half. A sample of the video can be found on the KitchenIQ youtube page.
Entrants will be asked to post their video to Facebook to win one of three prizes. The top prize includes a $50 Williams-Sonoma gift card along with a KitchenIQ Electric Adjustable knife sharpener and a chef’s knife from Schmidt Brothers Cutlery. Second and third place prizes will also be awarded.
“National Knife day is nationwide celebration of knives and all of their uses throughout history and today,” Melissa Moore of KitchenIQ said.
