Licensing Partnerships Fuel Frigidaire Brand Food Storage Debut

Electrolux’s recent licensing agreements with Dura-Kleen and Libra, Inc. to manufacture Frigidaire branded plastic and glass food storage, respectively, is the company’s first foray in the U.S., through licensing, into a non-electric category.

Dura-Kleen will debut plastic Frigidaire food storage at the International Home + Housewares Show in March, with product available to ship this spring; glass Frigidaire food storage from Libra is still in product development.

In plastic food storage, the “best” line will be Frigidaire Locking Lids storage, featured in 14 assorted shapes and sizes with an airtight silicone seal, and four-way locking lids. The “better” line, Frigidaire Snap-Tight Containers, will come in multiple sizes and shapes, in clear plastic with snap-tight lids. Frigidaire opening pricepoint Multi-Pack Containers are available in seven SKUs, and are reusable or disposable and feature measure marks on the container’s base.

Frigidaire Refrigerator Storage Solutions will be available as open stock and a boxed set. The storage solutions will be stackable, made of durable and shatter resistant plastic, and will feature a built-in handle for easy access.

Dura-Kleen is also debuting Frigidaire Cold Pack Containers, seven SKUs including to-go lunch and salad kits, all of which will include freezable fitted cold packs. Frigidaire also is offering dry food storage of four open stock SKUs as well as two boxed sets. The containers are made of hard plastic with an airtight seal, and are said to be BPA free and dishwasher safe.
