NY NOW, the Market for Home + Lifestyle (formerly NYIGF) has announced a partnership with the Museum Store Association (MSA) to bring a new half-day educational program to the summer 2014 Market, August 16-20, in New York City.
The program is designed to address Merchandise Planning and Financial Management and will be presented both at MSA’s annual Conference & Exposition, as well as at key U.S. gift and home markets across the nation as part of the association’s “Certificate Learning Program.” The session at NY NOW will be held Saturday, August 16.
“NY NOW attracts a high concentration of MSA members and provides a great opportunity to connect museum store buyers with vendors,” Jennifer Anderson, Meeting/Conference Manager said.
Andrea Miller, MSA Director of Learning added, “NY NOW offers a perfect backdrop to roll-out our new Certificate Learning Program. Content will address issues such as merchandising, resource planning, staffing, customer experience, loss prevention, analysis and reporting, which are critical to retail success, and our faculty will be expert in these fields.”
NY NOW’s Christian Falkenberg added “We’re delighted to partner with MSA to extend NY NOW’s extensive slate of educational offerings with this new certificate program. The program and resulting networking opportunities will be of interest not only to MSA’s retail members, but also to gift and home retailers in general.”
Complete program details will be announced at the MSA Conference & Expo, April 11-14, in Houston. NY NOW’s full slate of educational programs also will be announced in April. In total, some 40+ seminars are expected to be presented over four days in New York City.
