Nielsen: Contigo Travel Mugs Rank #1 In Sales In Food, Drug, And Mass

Ignite USA announced that its Contigo products featuring Autoseal technology, are America’s #1 selling line of branded travel mugs in the food, drug, and mass channel, as well as in Costco.

The company cited the Nielsen Food, Drug, Mass report and the IRI Costco CRX report as its sources; the information was based on total branded mug sales, excluding private label.

Contigo’s Autoseal technology was patented by Contigo in 2006. Users press the “Autoseal” button to drink, then release to seal the opening between sips, thus preventing accidental spills. Contigo offers a wide variety of Autoseal product designs including vacuum insulated stainless steel models, such as the sleek West Loop, the handled Randolph and the locking Aria, as well plastic models such as Sheridan and Morgan.

“Autoseal technology is unique to Contigo— it’s something we invented to give our consumers freedom from spills and it’s something we continue to innovate and expand upon,” said Todd Starr, vp/marketing and product development for Contigo.
