This week Staples, Inc. officially inaugurated its 2014 back-to-school season today by launching three major promotional programs. The retailer kicked off the season by ringing the Nasdaq market opening bell on July 15.
The major promotions are, as characterized by Staples:
Staples Back-to-School 110% Price Match Guarantee. Staples customers will receive an additional 10% off the difference between the Staples price and a lower competitor price at time of purchase. In addition, Staples intends to price match items sold and shipped by Amazon.com or any retailer who sells products in both retail stores and online under the same brand.
Staples Less List. Staples has established a Back-to-School Less List that includes essential back-to-school products such as folders, notebooks, pens and pencils at low prices.
Weekly Hot Deals. Staples will offer Weekly Hot Deals in its circular and online at Staples.com throughout the back-to-school season.
