National Hardware Show Slates Education Sessions

The National Hardware Show has teamed up with the North American Retail Hardware Association (NRHA), which is co-hosting its NRHA All-Industry Conference, to provide educational presentations, speakers and seminars during the show. Most presentations will be held on the NRHA Village Stage during the National Hardware Show, which will be held May 6-8 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Educational highlights include:
Tuesday, May 6
9:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m.
Keynote speaker Mark Herbek, senior research analyst with Cleveland Research Company, will explore “Amazon and Beyond.” Showcasing some of the Cleveland Research Company's proprietary research, Herbek will share his insights into a company that is experiencing exponential growth year over year and what this data could mean for the home improvement industry and what the future could hold for Amazon, e-commerce, online shopping and retail trends.

Keynote speaker: Jill Waage, editorial director of Home Content at Better Homes and Gardens, will explore “Millennial Home Buying Preferences.” This presentation will explore data from the Better Homes and Gardens magazine’s sixth annual exclusive survey on the attitudes and spending trends of homebuyers, revealing Millennials’ preferences for their next homes. Among many of the findings, the presentation will reveal how Millennials use a range of media platforms, including social media sites, such as Pinterest and Instagram, among others, to express their personalities and share ideas about home design and style.

The NHRA All-Industry Conference will also hold a variety of breakout sessions to offer a chance for attendees to get together in small groups to discuss some of the most important topics to the industry today.
