After Housewares Show Preview, Blueair Debuts Sense Air Purifier

Blueair has officially debuted its new Blueair Sense indoor air cleaner across the United States. Unveiled at this year’s Housewares Show in March, the Blueair Sense design features an interactive motion-sensitive tempered glass top that doesn’t require the physical use of a knob in operation and allows users to change air-cleaning speed with simple, gentle hand movements just above the scratchproof surface.

The air cleaner uses second-generation HEPA technology and is said by the company to remove practically all allergens, viruses and other pollutants from indoor air.

The Blueair Sense is available in six colors ranging from Polar White and Graphite Black to Powder Pink. It is fabricated in 100% recyclable materials, the company noted, and an ultra-silent fan is said to use less electricity than a low-energy light bulb.

The Sense will initially be launched in the United States through premium design channels with availability both in-stores and online. The suggested retail price is $479.
