Aladdin’s Newstalgia Project Engages Consumers With Site, Social Media App

Aladdin, a brand of PMI, has launched The Newstalgia Project, which includes a new consumer website, an interactive web application and features its insulated Mason Tumblers.

With the launch of its new brand website,, comes the debut of its Newstalgia Digital Memory Jar web app. The app allows friends to gather and share social media “mementos”— pictures, video, music, and links— in a virtual Mason Tumbler, creating a digital memory jar to share with one another via Facebook, according to PMI. The website will also feature fresh blog content and is designed to integrate and emphasize social media channels including Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
“Aligning our digital presence allows us to meet and interact with our consumers where they are communicating everyday with friends, family and the brands they love,” said Jenn Ottele, marketing manager for the Aladdin brand.

“By launching this new site and creating intersections with social media, we’ll be building our community not by chasing likes or followers, but by sharing the Aladdin story and inviting everyone to engage with our brand on tangible, virtual and emotional levels,” Ottele added.
Aladdin’s Newstalgia product collection includes its Insulated Diner Mug, Insulated To-Go Food Containers, Insulated To-Go Tumblers and Heritage Plaid Lunch Kit.
