All-Clad Adds Cutlery To Made In U.S. Mix

Its first collection of handcrafted-in-the-U.S.A. cutlery, All-Clad Metalcrafters is launching the HC1 collection. All-Clad designed each new HC1 knife for perfect balance and function, according to the company.

The knives boast a high carbon and chromium content, designed for exceptional sharpness, hardness, and a more corrosion-resistant blade. They also feature rounded spine edges for an ergonomic feel; straight, classic cutlery lines; and a functional shape designed for U.S. culinary traditions, the company said.

The HC1 assortment, which will be sold exclusively at Bloomingdale’s, until June 2013, is available as open stock or in a 7-piece set. The open stock range consists of 10 knives, a sharpening steel and knife block. Knives in the assortment include two paring knives, boning knife, utility knife, 7-inch Santoku, 8-inch Chef’s knife, two bread knives, and two slicer knives. Suggested retail prices range from $69.99 for the 3.5-inch paring knife to $199.99 for the 7-inch slicer. The seven-piece set has a suggested retail price of $499.99.
