Concept Store Focuses Century 21 Selling Initiatives

Century 21 Department Store is opening a new concept operation at The Outlet Collection/Jersey Gardens in Elizabeth, NJ. With a smaller footprint, the new store offers an elevated shopping experience, the retailer stated, and an edited assortment of designer merchandise from the United States and Europe at up to 65% off retail every day.

The Jersey Gardens location features state-of-the-art interactive LED screens where customers can share social content in real time, easier and quicker shopping with mobile point-of-sale capabilities and styled looks highlighting top trends, Century 21 asserted. Every six months, the retailer noted that it would update the look and feel of the 32,000 square foot space in an effort to provide new shopper inspiration.

“We are always looking for opportunities to expand our brand and will be in great company among the many high-end retailers at Jersey Gardens,” said Raymond Gindi, Century 21 CEO. “We’re excited to test this new small-store format prototype in such a high-traffic area that caters to both locals and tourists.”

Century 21 operates stores in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn in New York City, as well as in suburban Long Island and the New Jersey communities of Paramus and Morristown. It also maintains the e-commerce website C21Stores.com.

The retailer recently expended its Downtown Manhattan location, one of two in the New York City borough, adding three new selling floors to house new designer merchandise in each of the categories it carries, which include home. Post-renovation, the flagship Downtown Century 21 totaled over 225,000 square feet of shopping arrayed across six floors, the company related.
