Dallas Market Center has announced its educational lineup as well as new and expanded temporary categories for its Summer Total Home & Gift Market, June 18-24.
The Dallas Temp Show, June 19-22 (which features staggered opening dates) offers 24 different product categories in seven locations with more than 500,000 square feet of exhibits located on WTC 1, 6, 12 and 13, TM 1, Market Hall and the International Trade Plaza (The Plaza).
Luxury Home Temps (June 18-22), a juried category of home décor manufacturers, is new to June with a collection of lighting, furniture, wall décor, textiles and accents. The new category will be located on TM 1.
In addition, Garden & Outdoor Temps (June 18-22) debuts a new location on The Plaza 1st floor in Outdoor Living, The Plaza 1F201, will showcase a varied selection of planters and containers, tabletop, decorative outdoor accents, garden accessories, and seasonal accessories.
Temporaries will be open until 7 p.m. on Friday, June 20.
Some of the educational and entertainment opportunities in store for show attendees this year include:
- Jason Dorsey, a leading generational speaker, best-selling author and expert in Millennial strategy presents “Y-Size Your Business: How Gen Y Employees and Customers Can Grow Your Business” on Thursday, June 19 at noon in the World Trade Center (WTC) Hall of Nations.
- Celebrity chef Blythe Beck, a native Texan who launched her career in Dallas, presents a cooking demonstration on Saturday, June 21 at noon at The Culinary Stage, WTC 1.
- Chefs Tim Byres and Anthony Van Camp lead cooking demonstrations at The Culinary Stage, WTC 1.
