Do It Best Appoints Logistics, Sales Managers

Do it Best Corp. has named Scott Orman to the new position of national logistics manager, effective January 2014, and Rob Schmiedel to the role of national sales manager, effective immediately.

In this role, Orman will be instrumental in setting the direction and execution of key logistics functions across Do it Best Corp., and leading continuous improvement initiatives at each of its eight retail service centers nationwide. Orman will also work with the RSC managers to ensure they are providing the necessary support, training and motivation for their respective team members.

Orman has spent the past three years as the manager of the co-op’s retail service center in Woodburn, OR, and has more than a decade of logistics and warehousing experience.

Do it Best Corp. also named Rob Schmiedel to the role of national sales manager, effective immediately.

In this position, Schmiedel will work with the executive team to develop and implement national sales and business development strategies. He will also oversee the co-op’s nationwide team of regional and territorial sales managers, equipping them with the support and tools necessary to fuel member-owner growth and drive sales, noted the company.

Schmiedel first joined the co-op’s sales team as a territory sales and business development manager for markets in central and western Pennsylvania, where he served for five years. He was then promoted to regional sales and business development manager for the Northeastern U.S., and for the past two years he managed a team of territory managers covering Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia and Vermont.
