To support growth and fill job vacancies, Dollar General has reported that it will hire 10,000 new employees in May across its store and distribution network. The retailer will hold career fairs to recruit candidates throughout the month, it stated, in the 40 states that the network serves.

On Saturday, May 18, Dollar General will host a national hiring fair at approximately 170 locations for available store positions. Hiring fairs at the company’s distribution centers will run throughout the month, the company related.
Dollar General noted that it will participate in Florida Paychecks for Patriots hiring events. Military veterans and their families can take part in the events held on Friday, May 10 at 10 Florida Regional Workforce Board Centers throughout the state. The program matches companies that have immediate job vacancies in Florida with veterans and their families seeking employment as they return to civilian life or explore other career opportunities.
