EveryWare Opens Brazilian Market With Braga Partnership

EveryWare Global, Inc. announced that it has signed a key, exclusive licensing and promotional agreement with Ana Maria Braga, a well-known Brazilian television personality, author and publisher.
The agreement, whereby EveryWare products will be branded and sold under Ana Maria Braga brand names, establishes a foothold for the company in a $1.2 billion and growing tabletop market in Brazil, according to EveryWare. Specific financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
According to EveryWare, Braga is one of the most recognizable cooking/lifestyle television personalities in Brazil. She is host of Brazil’s most watched morning show, “Mais Você,” which averages 100 million viewers per year and close to five million per day. Braga’s empire also has a publishing company that has sold over 14 million books, largely focused on cooking.
“We are extremely excited to be partnering with Braga, an icon in the Brazilian market,” said EveryWare’s CEO, John Sheppard. “The partnership accelerates our strategic entry into a very large and growing market and demonstrates our commitment to building our international presence.”
Braga said, “I’m very happy and have great expectations in relation to this association and the certainty that we will be working with products of the highest quality.”
The branded housewares line with Braga will be available for sale at retail outlets throughout Brazil as well as via TV spots on television home shopping channels and through Braga’s own website.
