The High Point Market gained nomination as a finalist for two Expo EXCITE Awards, the organization announced, one for Best Website and one for Best Marketing Collateral, for its Fall 2012 Fashion Focus campaign. The EXCITE Awards, presented by service provider and event organizer Expo, promote excellence and innovation in trade shows.
Last year, the High Point Market won the EXCITE Award for Social Media, the organization pointed out, beating out such shows as CES and Comic-Con.
“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for the High Point Market,” said Cheminne Taylor-Smith, vp/marketing for the High Point Market Authority. “The new web design, launched last summer, has provided amazing new tools and information that helps us connect exhibitors and buyers for this huge trade show. And the Fashion Focus campaign has been very well received, attracting a lot of attention and buzz for the High Point Market. We are thrilled to share this honor with our talented agency Emisare.”
Market management launched the new form of its website in July 2012, according to the organization. With the initiative, market authorities intended to make it easier for show goers to set schedules on the website using social media log-ins like Facebook and Twitter accounts. The new web site version also offered upgrades for exhibitors, including social media links. This summer, market authorities will launch a new application for the show.
The market developed the Fashion Focus campaign to highlight the link between apparel and home design, the organization stated.
