Gift And Decor Gains Brighten Vegas Market Prospects

International Market Centers has announced that 26 leading gift and home décor suppliers and sales agencies have leased new showrooms or expanded existing showroom space in the World Market Center Las Vegas. They will participate in Summer 2013 Las Vegas Market, July 29 through August 2, IMC noted.

This summer, the number of gift and home décor resources presented in Building C will significantly exceed the total present for the winter market earlier this year, with more than 1,150-plus new lines showcased in half-a-million square feet of additional showroom space.

“This surge in showroom leasing continues the Las Vegas Market’s upwards trajectory, and contributes to the market’s ever-increasing concentration of leading gift and home décor resources,” Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, IMC, said. “We are delighted that so many high-profile companies have recognized Las Vegas Market’s position as the leading gift and home décor destination in the western United States.”

Influential multi-line reps joining the Las Vegas Summer Market include Dallas-based agency Anne McGilvray & Co. and Joanne & Co., a Los Angeles-based sales agency. New to the market brands include home décor label Glory Haus. Brands re-entering the market include Kalalou and Mark Roberts.

Showroom debuts will come from Lowcountry Originals on C3, The Bramble Co. on C4, Broadway Décor, Pacific Legend and Picture Source on C6, The Royal Standard on C8 and Entrada Collection, Inc., on C7.

Firms moving from temporary exhibit space include Accessories Now and Melrose International.
