Hampton Forge Appoints Michael Karyo COO

Hampton Forge has announced that Michael Karyo has joined the company as chief operating officer. He will oversee sales, marketing and product development in his new role.

“Felix Amar has done an incredible job in developing Hampton Forge into a recognized brand, offering a best-in-class product in the channels we serve. We are the category innovators in flatware and cutlery,” Karyo said. “Hampton Forge is ultimately a product development-driven company. I will work with our excellent product development team to cultivate products in adjacent categories so we can enter new channels of distribution including commercial, specialty, and independents, and expand our assortment in existing channels.”

Karyo comes to Hampton, most recently, from Casabella, where he held the title of vp/marketing. He has more than 23 years of housewares management and product development experience. Karyo founded SiliconeZone in 2000 and joined Casabella in 2009, integrating silicone kitchenware products and overseeing gourmet product development, marketing and new channel diversification.
