HPI Extends Homz Retail Reach With Durabilt Lines

Home Products International is launching two new “extreme storage” product lines under its Durabilt license. The introductions will afford the Homz brand the opportunity to expand into additional retail channels such as home centers, co-ops, sporting goods and farm supply stores, John Travers, vp/marketing, told HOMEWORLD BUSINESS®.

“Our current Durabilt product is highly durable, but mostly used for garage and tool storage at home. These are construction grade, professional use boxes,” said Travers.

The extreme storage product features a heavy duty design that allows it to hold larger, heavier loads and a diamond plate design on the lid that allows the user to stack more weight on top of it than any other tote of the same size, according to the company.

The two new “extreme storage” Durabilt lines, available now, are Tough Tote and Camo, each featuring three different SKUs. The Tough Tote line consists of 15- and 27-gallon sizes and a tote locker, which features a hinged lid and tray. The Camo line features two “Camo boxes,” in 15- and 27-gallon sizes and a tote locker featuring a hinged lid and tray. The Tough Totes and Camo boxes feature oval holes to put straps through so that the user can secure it when transporting, such as in the back of a truck, noted Travers.
