BOHEMIA, NY— Xtraordinary Home Products, a division of Focus Products Group, is looking to expand its niche as a supplier of food prep solutions to common cooking problems with the introduction of its new Perfect Pizza pan.

The unique new pan design grew from the observation that many families enjoy pizza, but not all family members enjoy the same toppings. “Whether you’re making pizza from scratch or using one of those pre-made pizza crusts, when you ask everyone what they want on their pizza you’re likely to get 10 different answers,” said Scott Nicholson, president and COO of Focus’ Xtraordinary Home Products division. “One wants broccoli, another wants sausage. It can be a pain.”

Another common problem, particularly when multiple toppings are combined and/or some slices are left just with cheese, is topping falling from one section to another. “We’ve created a special kind of grid that allows you to cut the slices before cooking and it keeps toppings separate,” said Lori Puccia, senior product manager at Xtraordinary Home.

The new, patent-pending, pizza pan is available in two sizes: a 6-slice, 12-inch size and an 8-slice, 16-inch size. Both are constructed of carbon steel with a non-stick finish for easy clean up. The product is slated for September 1 availability. Suggested retails are $7.99 for the 12-inch pan and $9.99 for the 16-inch version.

Nicholson noted that the new pan design is the first in a new and soon-to-be-growing line of cooking and baking products that solve sectioning problems.
