What are these?
Ten retailers have been selected to receive special merchandising design excellence honors in connection with the Sixth Annual Housewares Design Awards.
The retail honorees will be presented during the 2009 Housewares Design Awards luncheon and awards ceremony, January 20, 2009, at the Marriott Marquis hotel overlooking Times Square in New York City.
The retailers were selected for categories representative of the categories in which the 2009 Housewares Design Awards will be judged. The 2009 retail honorees are:
- QVC, Tabletop
- Kohl’s, Cookware & Bakeware
- Wegmans, Kitchenware
- Meijer, Furniture
- Home Goods, Lighting & Decorative Accessories
- Target Stores, Home Organization
- Fortunoff, Kitchen Electrics
- Ulta, Health & Personal Care Electrics
- Lowe’s, Home Environment Electrics
- Costco, Floor Care Electrics
HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® editors nominated the retail merchandising excellence honorees.
“In keeping with the spirit of the Housewares Design Awards, these retail honorees were selected based on their commitment to innovative products, as well as their merchandising and promotional creativity,” said Peter Giannetti, editor-in-chief of HomeWorld Business. “An event that celebrates breakthrough housewares design would not be complete without celebrating retailers that offer such design to the consumer. And as you can see from this year’s selection of retail honorees, such merchandising vision comes from a broad spectrum of housewares retailing channels.
The 2009 Housewares Design Awards are presented by HomeWorld Business with the educational support of the International Housewares Association. Dupont’s Teflon Housewares Group is a sponsor of the program for the sixth year.
