International Market Centers announced yesterday that it had initiated phase three of its strategic growth plan for the Las Vegas Market. The plan, which has a goal of making the show the premier buying platform for furniture, home decor and gift products in the western United States, will result in the installation of new permanent exhibits in the facility’s Building C at the Las Vegas World Market Center.
It also will mean the movement of temporary exhibits to free standing pavilions adjacent to the market buildings.
In phase three, critical initiatives are the launch of two new showroom floors in building C, with the fifth floor display spaces dedicated to home decor, textiles and accessories, and the 11th, with exhibits focused on gourmet housewares, tabletop and gift.
“The strategic enhancements planned for Summer 2015 represent the culmination of a three-year realignment and re-imagining of Las Vegas Market to offer a unparalleled presentation of furniture, gift and home decor in the western United States,” Dorothy Belshaw, IMC president of gift and home decor, said in discussing phase three. “By offering an enriched presentation of better goods, remerchandising existing resources and launching new categories, Las Vegas Market has crated a compelling, multi-dimensional platform designed to appeal to today’s cross-category buyers.”
The announcement was made on the opening day of the Summer Las Vegas Market, which ends Thursday.
