Italy’s Deagourmet To Enter U.S. Market

Deagourmet is bringing its Italian gourmet white porcelain serveware designs to the United States for the first time this fall. Michael Murray of outsourcing solutions company Janus will head Deagourmet USA as vp/operations via the company office in Mineola, NY, he told HOMEWORLD BUSINESS® in an exclusive interview.

A $20 million company, according to its website, Janus provides a menu of outsourcing services such as launching a brand in the USA, day-to-day operations, international logistics, warehousing and customer service, sales and business growth or a “complete turn-key outsourced solution.”

The serveware line includes oil cruets, salt and pepper shakers, sugar/cheese bowls, creamers, cups/gravy boats, hors d’oeuvres plates, tasting sets, serving trays, bowls, plates, and coffee and espresso sets. The suggested retail for “key serving pieces” in the line are anywhere from $10 to $30. All of the items come in elegant see-through packaging, making the line ideal for gift giving, according to the company.

“It comes down to great design, great packaging at an extremely affordable price,” said Murray. “Now you have the perfect design to go with the perfect cup of coffee or tea,” for example, he said.

The first Deagourmet USA product will ship in mid-October, and the line will be warehoused in Somerset, NJ.
