Las Vegas Market Gets Up On The Roof For Charity On Tuesday, July 30, International Market Centers will host the third annual Up on the Roof gala charity event benefiting Gift for Life, a charitable organization for the gift, stationery and home décor industries. The event will occur during the Summer Las Vegas Market running July 29 to August 2 at the World Market Center Las Vegas. NY Now Names Accent On Design Participants More than 20 companies, representing a range of design-oriented product categories, will join the juried ranks of 150 contemporary and innovative product suppliers exhibiting in Accent on Design at NY NOW, the Market for Home & Lifestyle. The event is scheduled for Sunday, August 18, through Wednesday, August 21, at New York City’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. IHA Releases Corporate Social Responsibility Guidelines The International Housewares Association today released a newly created template addressing social responsibility issues. The document, titled “Corporate Social Responsibility: A Prototype of Supplier Guidelines,” offers criteria that can help ensure working conditions in the housewares industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are ethical and environmentally responsible, according to IHA. Former Secretary Of State Clinton To Address NACDS Total Store Expo The National Association of Chain Drug Stores’ Total Store Expo will feature an address by former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, the organization announced. She will bring her experience in government and foreign policy, health care and public service to the expo’s business program, NACDS stated. Meijer Named HomeWorld's 2013 Retail Champion Meijer is the 2013 HomeWorld Business Retail Champion. Meijer is featured in the May 13 edition of HomeWorld Business. |
