The Bombay Co. has forged a licensing partnership with The Powell Co., that will expand the Bombay brand including accent seating, ottomans, benches, casual dining, youth bedroom, accent furniture and small giftable items. The collection includes a variety of Bombay’s best selling and classic items in addition to new pieces.
Bombay stated that it would maintain and develop long-term relationships with key retailers to expand the brand presence across multiple lifestyle categories. Hermes-Otto International will continue to directly design, source and import products in its areas of core competency including décor, wall décor, seasonal and lawn and garden categories.
“The Bombay Company has always been synonymous with value luxury, stylish design and time-tested quality,” said Wil Hollands, president of Hermes-Otto International USA, owner of the Bombay brand. “We are proud to partner with The Powell Co., a recognized name in the home furnishings industry who is known for their dedication to craftsmanship and timeless designs.”
Jim Ziozis, Powell CEO, said, "Bombay is still one of the best-known furniture brands in the industry and it resonates strongly with consumers of all ages. We immediately embraced the brand once it became available. It is a perfect match for The Powell Co.'s traditional and core competencies. Our retail partners are as excited about this as we are.”
Powell-produced Bombay items will feature at Powell’s Fall High Point Market, October 13 to 18.
