Consumers today have been responding to products that let them customize living space in unique ways that solve personal challenges. In recognition of this phenomenon, Quirky, a social product development company that employs an online collaborative platform to bring new products to market, has introduced Crate, a modular storage system that updates the oft-repurposed milk crate.
Items in the Crate line allow consumers to build personal space and even reinvent their living area whether home or dorm room, the company stated. Crate designers particular focused on adding more storage potential to tight places. The product line allows purchasers to build book shelves, entertainment centers or even extra seating for guests.
The Crate line includes the modular storage blocks and 10 accessories designed and developed by Quirky. Users can start with core crate pieces, which can work as open and enclosed storage items. link them and add accessories to customize a space desired. They can add metal casters for mobility or employ wooden legs to keep their creation steady. Available cord clips provide cable management capability and hooks allow for hanging storage, Quirky noted.
The Crate core module sells for $19.99, Quirky stated. Crate products are made in the United States, and Quirky added that line now is available in over 400 Target stores.
