Marimekko will open a new 3,200-square-foot shop on Boston's vibrant Newbury Street, which will feature the entire range of Marimekko products, from signature fashions to home furnishings, and showcase new products each season. "The Newbury Street shopping area is an ideal match for Marimekko. This excellent location will support our strategy of building Marimekko's profile and strengthening the brand image," said Lynn Shanahan, president, Marimekko North America. "We are so pleased with the support that we have received thus far in the U.S., and are greatly looking forward to bringing a richer Marimekko experience to our valued customers." The opening celebration takes place on Tuesday, August 7, and will be highlighted with Marimekko designer Aino-Maija Metsola talking about Marimekko's Art of Printmaking from 12 to 1 p.m. on August 8 when the store opens to the public. All are welcome to attend. Tags: Housewares Home Décor Tabletop Retail |
