SodaStream International Ltd., a leading manufacturer of home beverage carbonation systems today announced second quarter revenue gains of 49.1% to $103 million, up from $69.1 million in the comparable year-earlier period. Net income increased 43.9% to $9.5 million compared to $6.6 million a year ago, and adjusted net income was $10.9 million compared to $7.9 million last year. "We are very pleased to have generated our first $100 million revenue quarter ever," said Daniel Birnbaum, CEO of SodaStream. "The contributions to our top-line performance were broad-based in terms of product segments and geographies with the U.S. exhibiting particular strength. It's clear that our strategy of expanded distribution and increased marketing is leading to growing demand for our products in the U.S. and other newer markets. At the same time, many of our more established markets continued to post solid revenue gains." Tags: Housewares Small Electrics Financials |
