The oneCARE Co., manufacturer of Dryel and Evercare Lint rollers, today announced that it will consolidate manufacturing facilities in Waynesboro, GA, and Ludlow, KY. “This transition will help us contain costs in an environment where we continue to see raw material inflation, said Megan Licursi, company spokesperson. "These improvements will allow us to better respond to our customers’ needs.” To further streamline manufacturing, oneCARE will also import hard-surface cleaning products fully assembled, rather than on a component basis. “Business decisions that impact our employees’ livelihoods are extremely difficult,” said Licursi. “This action is necessary, however, for the continued health and competitiveness of oneCARE.” oneCARE employs 259 workers across the country, and is working with the Georgia Department of Labor Rapid Response Team, local staffing firms and the Federal Office of Trade Adjustment Assistance to help displaced workers. In Ludlow, oneCARE expects to hire additional hourly workers beginning in October. Tags: Housewares Organization & Cleaning |
