Kohl’s Department Stores has announced that it expects to hire more than 52,700 new employees nationwide for this holiday season, up more than 10% from last year. The new hires will support the company’s holiday business in stores and growth in e-commerce, the retailer stated. Kohl’s anticipates hiring an average of 41 associates for each of its stores, an increase of 4% over 2011, it noted. The company also anticipates filling about 5,700 seasonal positions at distribution centers and more than 30 seasonal credit operations positions.
