The Kuhn Rikon Kochblume Spill Stopper has taken the 2012 American Business Awards Bronze in the New Product or Service of the Year, Consumer Products category for function, design and performance. The American Business Awards highlight the achievements and contributions of organizations and business people worldwide. A panel of independent judges, including leading figures from the business community, chose the winners. The Kochblume Spill Stopper, made of colorful silicone that is heat resistant up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit, prevents boiling liquids from spilling or overflowing on stovetops. Available in 10- and 12-inch sizes, the product fits on top of any pot or pan six to 10 inches in diameter. This multi-use gadget also doubles as a splatter guard for the microwave. Invented in Germany, the Kochblume is dishwasher safe, comes in three colors— green, purple and red— and has a suggested retail price of $24.95 for the 10-inch version or $29.95 for the 12-inch. It is available for immediate shipment. Tags: Housewares Gadgets & Kitchen Tools |
