Office Depot announced Monday that it has redesigned its store in Happy Valley, OR, scaling back from the original nearly 23,000 square feet to about 17,500 square feet. Just after, the retailer sent notification that it is carrying a product nationwide that will help move consumers through its stores even faster. For its part, the change in the Portland store dimensions makes the location more convenient for customers to shop, the retailer stated. Desplite its reduced size, the Happy Valley Office Depot houses almost 9,800 products from furniture and office supplies to technology, including a Tech Depot consultation table where employees can help customers with their technology needs. The retailer said the store also features colorful and clear signage, and a simple-to-navigate floor plan. The remodeling effort, Office Depot noted, took its inspiration from customer feedback and shopping patterns. The store mounts technology products and an expanded Copy & Print Depot on the right side of the store while showcasing supplies on the left. In addition, Office Depot stated today that it has rolled out the new Keurig Vue Brewer to its locations and that it will carry the product across the United States and on www.officedepot.com for $229.99. The retailer also carries a line of Vue packs for the brewer at prices starting at $11.99 for a box of 12 packs and $15.99 for a box of 16 packs. Vue pack varieties at Office Depot include: Barista Prima Coffeehouse, Café Escapes, Caribou Coffee, Celestial Seasonings, Coffee People, Green Mountain Coffee, Starbucks and Tully’s Coffee to provide a wide range of choices for varied customer preferences. “Keurig is perking up the work day by letting customers control and customize the beverage they want, the way they want it prepared, and when they want to enjoy it,” said Linda Boykin, vp/merchandising for Office Depot. “With the ability to have their favorite hot or cold drink without stepping out of the office, customers can save both time and money.” Tags: Housewares Cookware & Bakeware Vacuum Cleaners/Electric Cleaning Health & Personal Care Home DĂ©cor Home Environment Small Electrics Organization & Cleaning Tabletop Gadgets & Kitchen Tools Retail |
