The Kroger Co. has promoted Lynn Gust to the position of president at the company's Fred Meyer Stores division. Fred Meyer operates 133 multi-department stores in Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Gust was named senior vp/operations in 2011. He began his Fred Meyer career as a parcel clerk in 1970. "Lynn's long history with Fred Meyer and deep knowledge of our business will serve our customers well," said Rodney McMullen, Kroger president and COO. "His passion for our employees and customers make him a great fit to carry on the Fred Meyer tradition."
