The International Housewares Association has announced that the 2013 ih+hs Mobile App is available for download from iTunes and Google Play. The app, which is a direct link to Housewares Connect 365, IHA’s web-based industry search tool, offers several new features to help Housewares Show attendees make their market time more productive, including a QR Code reader for use in exhibitor booths and a brand and license search capability. A search icon on the main menu has a key word-style functionality. The search field on the All Exhibitors page seeks based on company name. Exhibitor listings include critical contact information. The app allows users to add notes to an exhibitor’s record or to an agenda appointment and then to email those records. Buyers can use the 2013 ih+hs app to search for exhibitor booths and create customized show floor plans, making market navigation easier, IHA noted. The app also allows buyers and other attendees to search for information on show education events, displays and Cooking Theater appearances. They also can use it to locate show services such as coat check or restaurant facilities. The app offers access to real-time social media feeds through Twitter and Facebook, as well, IHA said.
