Designer Kathy Davis has joined forces with Whitmor to create three home organization collections, which will be introduced at the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago, from March 2 to 5, 2013. Davis, known for her "Scatter Joy" brand promise of "Joy through Art, Joy through Living and Joy through Giving," has now extended that mission to include "Joy through Organizing." The three collections— Happiness, Enchantment and Journeys— will be composed of products for organizing rooms all around the home, ranging from soft storage products and totes, to hanging shoe bags and boxes, to ironing board covers and laundry hampers. “We are thrilled to join forces with Kathy Davis,” said Scott Felsenthal, evp/Whitmor. “This partnership adds a new level of creativity and flavor to our vision of ‘bringing organization home’ to consumers around the world.” “We are so excited about this relationship. It really is a perfect marriage,” added Pam Hannum, Whitmor’s svp/sales. “We already have a quality product that the market believes in, but Kathy brings to Whitmor a fashion sensibility that we’ve been wanting to offer our retail partners and consumers.” “The moment I saw the quality and range in Whitmor’s product line, I knew we were a good fit,” said Kathy Davis. “I immediately envisioned their wonderful soft storage bins taking on a whole new ‘personality’ by incorporating my colorful patterns and designs into the products." Davis manages an extensive portfolio of more than 30,000 images. In partnership with greeting card giant American Greetings, more than 30 million Kathy Davis greeting cards are sold annually in more than 15,000 stores nationwide. Her designs also appear on a host of stationery, calendars and gift items. Recently, Davis has further extended her brand into the home market with lines of tableware and hydration product, with Tabletops Unlimited.
