The Home Depot is hiring to fill more than 80,000 seasonal jobs for spring, the company's busiest selling season, it has announced. The company is looking ahead to a busy spring and is hiring 10,000 more associates than it did at the same time last year. "Spring is always a special season for us, when we can offer employment opportunities for literally tens of thousands of Americans," said Tim Crow, executive vp/human resources. "We find some of our best associates during our peak season, and many of them have built long, meaningful careers with us." Job opportunities include part-time to full-time positions available on a market-by-market basis based on individual store needs, the company said. To encourage veteran hiring, Home Depot recently launched an Online Military Skills Translator, a new tool that analyzes an applicant's unique military skills and indicates where they might apply in Home Depot’s organization. It also has partnered with military focused career fairs and will participate in events throughout 2013, the company related.
