As Seen On TV Inc. has launched the DRTV campaign for its new SeasonAire, a 6-in-1, all-season comfort appliance featured in a long-form infomercial hosted by talk show host/TV pitchman Montel Williams. The SeasonAire combines an infrared heater, a true-HEPA air filter, a UV air purifier, an ionic air freshener, a humidifier and a dual-speed cooling fan.
As Seen On TV plans to spend as much as $5 million to air the infomercial during the upcoming season, ahead of a full-scale retail launch in 2013.
As it showcases the energy efficiency and long-term cost effectiveness of the year-around item, As Seen On TV is price testing the SeasonAire appliance, which it now offers in silver and wood finishes at tickets ranging from $399 to $449.
“This is a true four-season comfort appliance,” said Kevin Harrington, chairman of As Seen On TV, Inc. “Each function works independently of the heater.”
The infrared heater warms a room as large as 1,000 square feet, the company stated. The SeasonAire features on-board touch controls with an LED display, and a remote control is included. Other features include a cool-to-touch exterior and tip-over auto shutoff.
