A unique installation celebrating the home furnishings and design industries, and a book signing will feature among the style-oriented elements of the Fall High Point Market. The market will run from October 13 to 18 in High Point, NC.
Created by floral designer Randy McManus, the "Living" Dining Room is composed entirely of flowers and plants. The Living Dining Room will occupy the corner of High Point’s Commerce Avenue and Main Street.
“This fresh-air exhibit showcases the design talent that is prevalent in the home fashion world,” said Tammy Nagem, chief operating officer of sponsor the High Point Market Authority, in introducing the installation. “Randy’s incredible creation is a tour de force that celebrates the High Point Market’s role as the place to discover new trends and products, and to find inspiration and creativity.”
In the midst of the show, on October 15, the Trendsetter Book Event will offer market attendees the latest book titles from top designers. Authors who penned the books will be on hand starting at 4 p.m. to sign their works. Designer authors slated to participate include Charlotte Moss, Henrietta Spencer-Churchill, Susanna Salk, Florence de Dampierre and Ronda Carman. The first 100 marketgoers to arrive at the event will receive an exclusive sneak-peek version of Designers at Home: Personal Reflections on Stylish Living by Ronda Carman of All the Best, due out Spring 2013. Carman will attend as the afternoon’s honored guest.
The event, which will happen in Market Square Courtyard, is co-sponsored by Market Square & Suites and the High Point Market Authority. The event is free and open to all who attend the High Point Market.
