The United States Environmental Protection Agency is encouraging organizations participating in its Energy Star program to apply for a 2013 Energy Star Award. EPA has made the Energy Star awards applications available as it seeks to honor organizations that have made outstanding contributions to protecting the environment through energy efficiency.
For Energy Star honors consideration, an organization must meet the specific eligibility requirements stated in the award application and submit a complete online application package by 8 p.m. eastern standard time on November 28.
Potential honorees can find applications on Energy Star’s website. Honors include Partner of the Year Awards in categories such as Energy Management, Home Energy Rater, Product Manufacturer, Retailer, Service and Product Provider. In addition, the Excellence Awards categories include Energy Star Promotion.
EPA must receive 2013 award applications electronically through the My Energy Star Account page at www.energystar.gov/mesa. The electronic system will begin taking applications on November 1.
The 2013 Energy Star Awards Ceremony is scheduled for March 26, 2013, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.
