The ongoing Fall High Point Market has been rich in innovation as regards both function and style. Among the prominent aesthetic developments was a greater concern with color.
For example, prominent in the expansion of Z-Line’s recently launched leather furniture collection was a well-executed blue sofa group that included a love seat and chair.
Stackable accent tables with green, yellow and red tops got a featured presentation at the Adeptus showroom. A stackable accent table line at Altra arrived in even more colors including multiple blue and green tones. Metal stools at Linon came in rich single and dual color treatment. And a blue, black and yellow dune buggy bed was a standout item at Powell.
Nova used rich and varied metal looks to effect in its wall decor items, and Adesso, which has added richer shade treatments recently, is another company that is looking to add new tones to its products, planning to debut more prominent color treatments beginning with the Winter Las Vegas Market, a company spokesman said. Elegant patterns and more assertive fabric treatments have gone hand in hand with color at a High Point show where vendors featured increasingly sophisticated mass-market home furnishings.
The fall market continues in High Point, NC through Thursday.
