Williams-Sonoma, Inc. nameplate PBteen will operate five pop-up stores located in the Durham, NC, Cincinnati, Edina, MN, Houston and Miami areas during October and November, cities where the chain currently lacks a permanent location, the company announced. The PBteen pop-up stores will open with the company’s holiday 2012 merchandising collection including the recently launched Burton home collection.
PBteen will staff the pop-up stores with on-sight design specialists who can helps kids and their parents pull together unique bedrooms and lounge spaces, Williams-Sonoma noted. A PBteen Design Lab will anchor each store, providing a place where customers can engage with the brand and its products by creating a personalized room electronically on a computer monitor, the company noted. As they do, customers can see their ideas come to life on a television screen overhead. Customers can order products available on PBteen.com through the pop-up stores and have them conveniently shipped to their homes, it added.
The first 250 shoppers to visit each of the pop-up stores store on opening day will receive a free gift and a chance to win one of five $250 PBteen gift cards. Each store will have a live D.J. playing music and will run PBteen product giveaways throughout its grand opening weekend, Williams-Sonoma stated.
