In another example of a retailer building on the gift shop trend, Kohl’s Department Stores is launching an online destination to help consumers find presents for the people on their holiday shopping lists. The Kohls.com  Holiday Gift Shop enables customers to shop by price, product category or gift recipient, and an online listing tool allows customers to create customizable lists on their desktops, tablets or mobile devices.

Users can share personalized lists with others via email or social channels.

The shop also features a budget-tracking feature that lets shoppers set a budget and track against it as they add items from their gift list.

Gift shop categories include Toys, For Her, For Him, Electronics and Gadgets, and For the Home. Among the products incorporated in the For the Home assortment are a Food Network 11-piece Hard Anodized Cookware Set, Ice Bucket with Tongs and Monogram Coasters as well as Keurig Mini Brewers and a Sonoma Sherpa Throw.

“We know our customers want to create the holiday of their dreams while staying within budget,” said Don Brennan, Kohl’s chief merchandising officer. “This season, we are making it easy and exciting for shoppers to find amazing and affordable gifts for everyone on their lists. Our Holiday Gift Shop lets customers customize their experience by helping plan their in-store shopping trips with the perfect list or choose items to buy online, whenever and wherever they want. With WiFi available in all Kohl’s stores by Black Friday, shoppers can also access and manage their lists on their tablets or mobile devices while they shop.”
