New Cookware Demonstrates Williams-Sonoma's Techy Side

Monday November 19th, 2012 - 10:29AM

Williams-Sonoma has introduced its own line of cookware, stainless steel tools and tech-driven smart products for the kitchen. The introductions represent a new generation of technologically advanced cookware and tools for home cooks and professional chefs, the chain’s parent, Williams-Sonoma, Inc., stated.

The first products in the Williams-Sonoma Thermo-Clad cookware line, along with Williams-Sonoma stainless steel tools and three Williams-Sonoma smart products that keep customers connected in the kitchen, have launched online at williams-sonoma.com and will roll out at Williams-Sonoma retail stores throughout the United States and Canada beginning November 23.

The Thermo-Clad line uses an exclusive aluminum alloy that provides up to 35% more conductivity, resulting in precise and even heating and temperature control, Williams-Sonoma said, so a pan arrives at a desired temperature quickly and stops cooking when removed from heat. Included in the initial Thermo-Clad launch are a 10-piece cookware set, a 10-inch non-stick fry pan and a 12-inch non-stick fry pan with lid.

Among the other new products debuted, Williams-Sonoma’s stainless steel tools feature ergonomic and weighted handles that provide balance, comfort and control. Williams-Sonoma smart tools including a Bluetooth speaker, kitchen stand and screen shield make it easier for cooks to employ electronics. The iPad compatible Bluetooth speaker also debuted at Apple retail stores in the United States and at the Apple Online Store on November 14.
