Organize Me Puts Office Depot Shoppers On A Neat Buying Track

To help consumers make improvements in the New Year, Office Depot has announced the launch of Organize Me 2013, an in-store and online campaign developed to provide customers with clutter-busting aids. Office Depot designed Organize Me 2013 as an interactive experience that helps consumers find needed products but also inspires with organizing techniques they can incorporate into their everyday lives, the retailer said.

Tips to help consumers pull things together can be found online and in-store via QR codes on products marked Organize Me 2013 Expert Pick.

To kick-off the campaign, home/office organization expert Holly Bohn-Weiss and tech guru and Gadget Nation author Steve Greenberg, will share applicable ideas, product suggestions and informative videos, as well as host a contest to search for the next great organizer.

To enter the contest, consumers can submit a video with their best organizing tips at www.facebook.com/officedepot. During the week of January 20, Office Depot will pick 10 finalists who have shared the most inspiring videos. Then, Office Depot's Facebook fans can vote to determine two winners, who will each receive a $2,013 Office Depot gift card. Consumers who visit Office Depot's Facebook page can take a brief quiz to determine their organization type, as well as receive a coupon good for a free calendar, redeemable at Office Depot stores nationwide.

"Organize Me 2013 is all about helping even our most organized customers get a little more productive in the new year," said Bob Moore, executive vp and chief marketing and merchandising officer for Office Depot. "We are providing video tips by partnering with professional organization experts, but we are really excited to see the great advice that our customers share with each other through the contest."

Expert product picks lined up for the Organize Me initiative range from writing desks and bookcases to file folders to laptop computers. Desk accessories also play a role in the promotion. Office Depot pointed out that Bohn-Weiss created the See Jane Work brand, offered in its stores, for female organizers and multi-taskers. Bohn-Weiss perceived that too few desk accessories available resonated with her style and personality, so she developed a product line allowing purchasers to show off personal space in accordance with their personalities.
