Gorham, a brand of the Lenox Corp., will debut a Rick Bayless-licensed Mexican-themed tabletop and cookware collection at the International Home + Housewares Show next month. To celebrate its new partnership with Bayless, Gorham is hosting a book-signing event at the Lenox/Gorham booth on Sunday, March 3 between 2 and 3 p.m.
The new tabletop and cookware collection will carry the designation Rick Bayless by Gorham.
Bayless won the crown on Bravo’s hit series "Top Chef Masters" and also gained notoriety from his on-going public television series, "Mexico – One Plate at a Time." Bayless has penned eight cookbooks and is owner of two award-winning restaurants in Chicago: Frontera Grill and the four-star Topolobampo. This year, Bayless opened two new restaurants: XOCO, a quick serve LEED-certified restaurant featuring house-ground chocolate and wood grilled tortas, and Tortas Frontera, which opened in downtown Chicago and in Terminal 1 + Terminal 3 at Chicago’s O’Hare airport.
“Rick Bayless has been shaping our image of authentic Mexican cuisine for years through his cookbooks, television shows and award-winning restaurants,” said Lester Gribetz, president, Lenox. “Gorham is thrilled to bring his vision into kitchens and dining rooms all across America by creating a new and exciting tabletop and housewares collection.”
Bayless commented, “I am very excited to partner with Gorham to provide consumers with tabletop and housewares products that capture my passion for preparing and serving Mexican dishes. This line will continue to expand and will appeal to a broad range of consumers who want to experience the lifestyle associated with preparing and serving the Mexican cuisine that I have supported for over 25 years."
