New Co-Presidents Announced Amid Overstock.com Executive Moves

Overstock.com, Inc. has appointed Stormy Simon and David Nielsen co-presidents. The company also named two new senior vice presidents.

An officer and director of the company, Simon previously served as senior vp in charge of customer and partner care, according to Overstock. As co-president, Simon will retain those responsibilities, adding oversight of warehouse logistics, press relations, social media and strategic marketing, the company stated

Nielsen was most recently senior vp/merchandising and supply chain, the company related. He will retain those responsibilities and add oversight of international sales, talent management and information technology, it noted.

On February 12, Overstock announced that Patrick Byrne, chairman of the board and CEO, would take a temporary medical leave of absence as CEO and that Jonathan Johnson, president of the company, would become acting CEO. With the changes revealed, Johnson's former role as president will transfer, and he will remain acting CEO, Overstock said. 

In addition, the company related, Robert Hughes was promoted to senior vp/finance and risk management. Most recently, he served as vp/finance and accounting. He replaces outgoing senior vp/finance and risk management, Stephen Chesnut.

Also Saum Noursalehi was named senior vp/marketing, a position formerly held by Timothy Dilworth who will leave the company, Overstock said. Noursalehi most recently served as vice president of OLabs, a research and development group within the company.
