Ignite USA is introducing a new drinking technology with its new Contigo Shake & Go tumbler called “AutoClose” at the International Home + Housewares Show in Chicago. It is designed to allow the consumer to shake up his or her favorite flavored drinks without the tumbler leaking, according to the company.
“We’ve defined our brand to date with two of the most innovative drinking technologies in the industry, AutoSeal and AutoSpout. Now we’re translating our expertise in on-the-go beverageware into new designs that provide meaningful solutions for the growing number of consumers who mix everything from ice to flavor additives into their cold beverages,” said Todd Starr, vp/marketing and product development for the Contigo brand.
With Shake & Go, the consumer takes all the ingredients for his or her favorite drink, replaces the lid and shakes, and then once the drink is shaken, he or she can reinsert the reusable straw back into the tumbler to sip, Starr explained. Shake & Go also is made of double wall, Tritan construction that is said to keep beverages colder longer and prevent sweating.
Shake & Go will be available in September in 16-ounce and 20-ounce designs with a suggested retail price of $12.99 and $14.99 respectively.
