Today, The Home Depot announced that it would hold its fourth annual Spring Black Friday event beginning April 4. The company characterized the event as a regionally focused savings weekend offering discounts on hundreds of items that can ready homes for spring.
Products included in the promotion range from outdoor furnishings to grills to garden products.
Like the Black Friday that unofficially start the holiday shopping season, Home Depot's Spring Black Friday is a sign the start of home improvement's busiest shopping season, spring, is underway, the retailer noted.
"We see increased traffic in our stores during the spring season as customers kick-off their home improvement projects," said Craig Menear, executive vp/merchandising. "In a recovering housing market, we know our consumers are continuing to look for ways to affordably improve their homes. Through Spring Black Friday, we offer incredible savings to meet all of their indoor and outdoor needs."
