Swissmar has announced a licensing agreement with Le Cordon Bleu Paris to produce a line of ceramic oven to table products under the brand name Le Cordon Bleu Paris. These licensed products will roll out in retail stores throughout North America and the Caribbean, with additional global opportunities, according to Swissmar.

“The response from our retail partners at the January CGTA [Toronto Gift Show] and March IHA [International Housewares Association] housewares shows was phenomenal. Customers have been waiting for a line of products like this,” said Daniel Oehy president of Swissmar. “The timing is perfect for a Made in France quality product developed under the guidance of Le Cordon Bleu Paris trained chefs.”

Le Cordon Bleu Paris has been a worldwide leader in gastronomy for more than 100 years and is widely considered the guardian of French culinary technique and the world’s premier culinary arts institute, according to the company.

“Our licensing partnership with Swissmar continues to strengthen our position as the finest name in culinary education worldwide,” said André Cointreau, president and CEO of Le Cordon Bleu Paris. “Le Cordon Bleu is dedicated to the mission of preserving and passing on the mastery and appreciation of the culinary arts throughout the world. Our goal of promoting this culinary appreciation is achieved through combining the excellent reputation of Swissmar together with the culinary expertise of Le Cordon Bleu.”

Christine Annechino, licensing manager for Le Cordon Bleu, added, “Le Cordon Bleu represents a passion for gastronomy and fine living. It serves as an umbrella for manufacturers, such as Swissmar, who are looking for a brand that speaks to consumers who love to cook, who enjoy fine food, and who aspire to be among the greatest chefs in the world. Le Cordon Bleu emphasizes the appreciation of French technique at the service of world cuisine.”

The Swissmar and Le Cordon Bleu collection will be in stores June 2013 and will range from $30 to $75 at retail. It will include the Charmant and Tendance lines in four traditional colors: Cordon Blue, Blanc, Rouge and Soleil.
