Altra added a line of craft desks among the new work-oriented products it introduced at the Spring High Point Market. The company placed special emphasis on functionality with space savings.
The Craft Table with Peg Board allows users to tailor their work space. The separate peg board includes rods for holding items like ribbon spools in addition to the organizational features incorporated into its central face. The desk can extend into an L configuration to provide additional flexibility in use. For smaller spaces, the Bobbi Standing Craft Desk with Gate Leg Extension can remain in a tight spot but expand with its hinged surface to provide additional working area. Similarly, the Corner Craft Desk with Two Extending Surfaces offers fold-up extensions on either side of the central work area for another space-efficient option.
Craft desks weren’t the only niche products Altra promoted as an opportunity that’s going more mainstream. The company also promoted a variety of new standing desks that take a twist on the standard model. For example, Altra launched the Stealth Standing Desk, a multifunctional product with concealed work surfaces a user can flip out when needed. The company also introduced the Stand and Sit Desk, which is a solutions-oriented item with low and high work surfaces. And it debuted the 4183.2a.OF standing desk, which offers a simple shelf over shelf design that, at the top tier, extends to create a workstation.
